Daredevil Runner

Hello on this beautiful hot July afternoon.  This post is dedicated to my longest and greatest passion.  I wrote this poem a few months ago (I think I was on something when I did…lol).  It sums up, in silly way, my need to overcome any obstacle just for that runner’s high.

DAREDEVIL RUNNER

The middle of a storm with lighting and thunder,

she will run ’cause she is the daredevil runner.

The winter chill or the dog days of summer,

she will run ’cause she is the daredevil runner.

Will persevere ’til collapsing into a slumber,

she will run ’cause she is the daredevil runner.

No hills and streams on her course would be a bummer,

just not a challenge for this daredevil runner.

Dogs, sprinklers, kids, bikes, I even dodged a Hummer,

Crap! (that too) just to be daredevil runner.

Flowing blond hair, sleek hard-body, she’s a stunner,

Yeah, you know she is one hot daredevil runner.

  1. You passion for life is an inspiration. Please never lose it.

  2. Thanks for the return of the daredevil runner. I wish I had even half the perseverance you have when I run.

  3. So far, of all your six entries, I like this poem the most because it required that you use a lot of the innate creativity that is unique to your mind and soul. I hope you will post more of your poems, even some that you created many years ago during other stages of your life.
